Color Matching and Paint Mixing - Falmouth, MA, Aubuchon Hardware
Our hardware store in Falmouth, MA, offers professional paint color matching and mixing services. We invite not only locals but also customers from neighboring towns, such as Mashpee, Bourne, Sandwich, and Martha's Vineyard, to achieve the closest color match possible for their projects. To match your color, simply bring a sample at least the size of a dime—a good sample makes for a good color match. It's also helpful if you know the existing sheen of your paint, as even a perfect color match can look different if the sheen is not the same. Our paint department is located at the far right end of the store, with a separate entrance marked by a Benjamin Moore sign, so it will be easy to spot.

Frequently asked questions about paint color matching and mixing in Falmouth, MA
Can you match colors from a sample?
Yes, we can match colors from a physical sample. The sample should be at least the size of a fingernail and flat enough to fit under the spectrophotometer. Curved or shiny samples, like crown moldings, may result in less accurate matches. Please note that we cannot match colors from photos on cell phones.
Can you tell what sheen my sample is?
Our equipment cannot determine the sheen of the sample. If the sheen is unknown, we will make an educated guess based on the sample.
How long does it take to mix paint?
It usually takes about 5 minutes depending on the quantity and the color you've chosen. Dark colors tend to take longer to shake because they require more colorant.
Can I place a paint order over the phone?
Phone orders are available as a service primarily for contractors rather than homeowners.
Can you match colors from brands you don't carry?
Yes, we have access to many color formulas across various brands, allowing us to match colors even if we don’t carry the specific paint brand.
